Amir Ghavi, a partner at Fried Frank based in NYC and a global leader in the AI space, leads the firm’s technology practice. Amir advises clients on technology and IP matters, with a focus on disruptive technologies. He is recognized as a leading legal practitioner in AI, where he: • is chief outside counsel for major generative AI companies such as Stability AI (the company behind Stable Diffusion), Cohere, Picsart and others; • advises Fortune500 companies on their use and governance of AI; and • counsels governments on their AI policies and regulatory frameworks. Amir is uniquely positioned as an authority in the field of AI and law where he counsels on regulatory, product development, commercial aspects and most notably, is defending the AI technology in several of the biggest litigations in the field of AI. He is a frequent speaker, panelist and commentator on AI, informed by his software experience and academic background in neuroscience and philosophy.
