Saima Shafiq, SVP, Head of Applied AI Transformation at PNC bank, has ~20 years of technical experience. She is an executive leader known for driving successful strategic initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence catering to several business units in corporate, commercial, real estate, treasury, retail, and lending business domains. She leads teams of seasoned data science managers, application architecture and software engineering managers, product management practice for agile delivery, and AI innovations program for rapid prototyping to effectively prioritize implementation of high value AI use cases based on feasibility and desired business outcomes. Her areas of expertise include launching new applications using traditional programming combined with AI/ML technologies, building solutions to improve day to day operations from an employee standpoint, that ultimately help offer an enhanced client experience. Her specialized skills and success stories highlight her knowledge and experience with the latest AI tools and trends to achieve automation efficiencies by offering decision augmentation, workflow automation, cognitive intelligence with natural language solutions, conversational AI, intelligent document processing, machine learning for predictions & recommendations, generative AI and more. Currently, she also heads the executive board for a non-profit organization where she has been appointed as a chief education program director for more than 5 years in her 12 years tenure at the community service organization.
