The #GenAIWeek Journey So Far

The idea for the Generative AI series came about in early 2023, when ChatGPT was just starting to break into the mainstream. It felt different to the hype cycles we’d seen before – there was a clear sense this was going to reshape how businesses operated. So we moved fast, launching the UK event in just 10 weeks and bringing together 250 enterprise leaders to figure out how to actually make Generative AI work in practice.

The response to that first summit in London was bigger than we expected – not just in numbers, but in energy. It was clear we’d struck a nerve. And while the UK event gave us proof of concept, a lot of the demand – from sponsors, speakers and attendees – was coming from the US.

So later that year, we took the same formula across the Atlantic.

We launched the US edition with the same focus: supporting the people inside businesses tasked with making GenAI usable, valuable, and safe. But this time, we had more case studies, more budget owners in the room, and more urgency. The result? A packed house of 320 AI, data and technology leaders in Atlanta – quickly establishing the event as the leading dedicated enterprise GenAI conference in the US.

Fast forward to this year, and things have moved on. It’s less about experiments and hype – and more about delivering real results. Teams are under pressure to show value, integrate GenAI into day-to-day work, and figure out how to make new tools like AI agents part of the stack in a way that’s useful, not just interesting.

What started as a fast bet in London has quickly become a global platform for the practitioners shaping the future of Generative AI.
