Alberto Rivera Fournier is the Chief Ethics Officer of the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) Group, where he leads ethics advisory, prevention, investigations, and institutional integrity efforts across IDB, IDB Invest, and IDB Lab. With more than two decades of experience in ethics, oversight, and organizational performance, he has helped transform the IDB Group’s integrity culture, implemented major modernization initiatives—including a new Code of Ethics—and co-led the development of the IDB’s Responsible AI Framework. Previously, he held senior positions at the Federal Reserve System/Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Office of Inspector General and the Export–Import Bank of the United States, and served in additional roles at the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and The George Washington University Law School.
