Technology Team Lead - Machine Learning Lab TUI

Jie Zheng is the Technology Team lead for Machine Learning Lab at TUI where she leads all aspects of AI innovation, especially on development Proof of Concept projects (PoCs) and collaboratively to drive innovation impact for the company. Educated at Birkbeck, University of London, Jie holds an MSc in Data Science. She began her career in hospitality, advancing to General Manager for the popular restaurant chain Nando’s before transitioning to technology. However, working for a global travel company, such as TUI, means she hasn’t completely lost her connection with the hospitality industry. Aside from her work with TUI, Jie has a strong drive to champion diversity and inclusion in the industry and dedicates her time as an advisory board member for Women in Hospitality Travel and Leisure – the only collaboration community devoted to supporting companies across Hospitality, Travel, Leisure, and Retail to create diverse and inclusive environments that will positively impact 5 million employees globally by 2030.
