Traditional scientists work to prove or dismiss a hypothesis. The data scientist is a unique form of scientist in that data scientists work to solve problems. Being able to create an impact with AI means taking a problem, applying AI related techniques and coming out with a solution.
- Accessing extremely large data sets
- Gaining insights from both internal and external data
- Leveraging insights within the organization to solve actual problems
- Putting the thumb down on alternative data to influence decision-making with action-based predictive analytics
