Interview with Jim Edwards, Global Innovation Capabilities Leader, Kimberly-Clark

Tell us a bit about your journey with Generative AI thus far?

“As I’m sure is the case with most organizations, our focus has been on piloting new technology, collecting use cases, building enterprise understanding of AI, and training our employees on responsible AI use. It’s been great to see different parts of the business take the ball and run with it when it comes to the use of GenAI. Our AI Innovation team has been putting solid foundations in-place when it comes to our future AI strategy and every week it feels like we are taking great strides. Whilst we are focused on building our internal capabilities, we are very conscious that we have to continue to keep our external perspective; that’s why events like the Generative AI Summit are incredibly important for us.”

What are you most looking forward at Generative AI Summit?

“The value in events like the Generative AI Summit is the network you can create. Meeting other leaders who are working on the implementation of AI is invaluable. Being able to share success stories and best practices is incredibly important, but personally what I value the most is hearing about the challenges that everyone else is facing. It makes you realise that we are all trying to navigate the same waters.”
