Amaresh Mohan is a global executive, with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his appointment as the Chief Risk Officer role for Flutterwave, Amaresh held leadership roles at PayPal, Stripe and GoTo, where he built and scaled risk management organizations. Before his stint in FinTech, he worked in consumer and investment banking divisions of large global banks, including Citibank and Bank of America. He has experience in numerous high growth markets in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Africa.
He was awarded the 'Risk Professional of the Year' at the ASEAN Risk Awards in 2023. This prestigious award recognizes leadership, innovation, and effectiveness in risk mitigation strategies, underscoring his exceptional leadership and innovative approach to risk management.
Amaresh holds a degree in Mathematics, from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He earned his MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
