Shashank Pandey is Director of Cyber Security at the Financial Times, where his remit spans application, cloud, and AI security. His current focus is enabling innovation through the safe and secure adoption of AI, while helping the organisation navigate an increasingly AI-enabled threat landscape. With nearly two decades of cybersecurity experience across media, financial services, consulting, and enterprise environments, Shashank brings a commercially grounded practitioner's perspective to AI security, cyber resilience, and cyber risk. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge, is a published cybersecurity author, and regularly contributes to industry conferences and panel discussions.
AI is reshaping where cyber responsibility begins and ends. Attacks now target prompts, models, and data flows, areas that sit outside traditional controls. As organisations move to secure AI, leaders face real trade-offs between risk reduction and speed. This opening panel surfaces where to draw the line, who owns it, and what's practical today.
