9:30 AM KEYNOTE PRESENTATION: A Trust-First Mindset in the age of AI: The Role Of GenAI In Trust & Safety

Generative AI in Trust & Safety is a double-edged sword. While GenAI has shown promising efficiencies for content moderation, it simultaneously amplifies harms and risks for users and Trust & Safety teams. As generative AI becomes increasingly available to good and bad actors alike, Trust & Safety leaders need to consider how to evolve their strategies to address the impact GenAI will have on their platforms and online safety. This session delves into the complexities of generative AI with the goal of enabling risk-based strategies for platforms that stand to gain, and lose, from GenAI in 2024 and beyond.

  • The importance of a trust-first mindset and the prioritisation of user safety in the age of GenAI
  • Threat case studies that highlight the impact of open-source GenAI on online safety
