By trade, Michelle is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society. She has vast experience working with content moderation teams including: Front-line service delivery directly to content moderators and their support functions (policy, quality analytics, people managers, HR, etc.).Development and implementation of critical incident protocols and crisis management solutions at individual and group level. Consultancy with senior leaders, decision-makers, and mid-management teams. Quantitative and qualitative data analytics, interpretation, reporting and insights & trends knowledge translation during MBRs, QBRs, etc.

As the subject matter expert on psychological health and safety of content moderation teams, Dr. Mitch regular produces articles and papers highlighting the importance of psychological well-being support for moderators and their support functions for Zevo Health. Additionally, she leads her team of Senior Wellbeing Consultants to conduct audits and assessments for Zevo’s T&S clients that uncover organisation-specific psychosocial risks and provides expert recommendations to mitigate these risks for their Trust and Safety teams. Dr. Mitch has a particular interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion as an Asian-Canadian with lived experience of discrimination, microaggressions, and ‘othering’. She carefully considers how Zevo Health’s services for Trust and Safety teams can overcome barriers to engagement that stem from mental health stigma and perceived ‘weakness’ in seeking support based on intersectional identity and socially learned behaviour.
