Andrea Cosentini

Head of Data Science & Responsible AI Intesa Sanpaolo Bank

Andrea Cosentini holds a degree in Physics and a Ph.D. in Mathematical and Statistical Methods for Economics. He began his career as a quantitative analyst and spent several years as a derivatives trader at leading investment banks, before becoming CEO of an AI start-up in 2017. In 2019, Andrea joined Intesa Sanpaolo Bank to lead the AI Department and now serves as Head of Data Science & Responsible AI. He also heads the U.O. Engineering team at the Anti Financial Crime Digital Hub, a consortium focused on leveraging advanced technologies and AI to combat digital financial crime. From October 2020 to December 2022, Andrea was Chief Data Officer in the Department for Digital Transformation at the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers, where he played a key role in designing and developing the National Digital Data Platform.
