Global AI Compliance Director Aon

Tharishni Arumugam serves as the first Global AI Compliance Director at Aon, responsible for overseeing the legal, governance, and ethical aspects of the company's AI use and development. Her career spans multiple jurisdictions, having worked in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and now London. During her decade at Aon, she has been the key data protection and ethics advisor to the Aon Center for Innovation and Analytics, consistently advising Aon's global businesses on tech and trust convergence. Recognised as an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy, a Thought Leader in Privacy by OneTrust Data Guidance, and one of the Most Inspiring Women in Privacy by the Privacy Pros Academy, Tharishni has also served on the inaugural IAPP Asia Advisory Board. She contributed to the development of the first CIPP/A examination, and continue to engage with the data protection community at various global conferences.
