Shazia Khan is a highly accomplished legal professional with over 20 years of experience across banking, finance, corporate law, and the fields of data privacy and AI governance. Her career has evolved to encompass the ethical and governance challenges of AI, an area where she is deeply engaged. Her hands-on experience includes a pivotal role leading data privacy for AI applications and RPA agents at a major UK financial institution. In her role as a Senior Privacy Counsel at Axiom Law, she provides expert guidance on complex data issues, with a strong focus on navigating regulations like the GDPR and the upcoming AI Act. A respected leader in her field, Shazia is the London Metropolitan Chapter Chair of Women in AI Governance (WiAIG), having previously built the British Women in AI Governance group. She was also a double finalist for the PICCASO Awards Europe 2025 for "Compliance Champion of the Year" and "Rising Star of the Year," recognising her impactful work.
