Andrew Barger has substantial experience in IP due diligence and has been a key member on the M&A teams of 60+ technology deals, the majority of which were software companies acquired from, or divested to, large private equity firms. For 15 years Andrew served as Chief IP Attorney for two publicly-traded, Fortune 1000 companies, including Roper Technologies, Inc., a diversified technology company with a market cap of $53 billion. Andrew has handled the IP for technology companies in a wide array of fields including, Application Software; Automotive Systems; Network Software; Medical Products; Electrical Products; Transmission Towers; RFID; and Process Technologies. He conducts webinars on various IP topics, including IP due diligence, false advertising, UI and UX software protections, trade secrets, trade dress, social media, open source software, trademarks, and patents. Andrew serves on the boards of several technology companies, is a former intern of the Michigan Supreme Court, and often speaks on various IP topics. Prior to starting law school, he was a computer engineer for Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Andrew began his legal career at Chrysler Corporation.
