Agenda Day 1

4:40 PM THINK TANK: SCALING AI - CORE FOCUS, UNIFIED PLATFORMS, AND GOVERNANCE-DRIVEN

The rush to adopt (agentic) AI across manufacturing and logistics organizations often leads to fragmented implementations, vendor proliferation, and scattered use cases that fail to deliver enterprise value. This interactive session explores how to take a strategic, governance-driven approach to AI deployment that focuses resources where they matter most while creating scalable foundations for long-term success.

Drawing from real-world experience, we'll examine how focusing AI development efforts on core business capabilities—while leveraging external solutions for non-core areas—can maximize impact and resource efficiency. The discussion will explore the evolution from ad-hoc vendor relationships to a unified AI toolset that provides the right features across the organization.
• Core vs. Non-Core AI Strategy: How do you determine which AI capabilities warrant internal development versus external procurement? What criteria help distinguish between strategic differentiators and operational utilities?
• From Vendor Chaos to Unified Platforms: Share experiences with AI tool consolidation—what worked in reducing vendor sprawl while maintaining innovation velocity? How do you balance standardization with business unit flexibility?
• Governance as an AI Accelerator: How can existing data and analytics governance frameworks be leveraged to prioritize and support AI use cases? What role should centralized teams play in scaling successful pilots?
