Paul Cumming is Head of Product Strategy for Grant Thornton Advisors audit practice, shaping the vision and roadmap for data-driven audit products and modern assurance capabilities that will transform how 9,000 auditors work across 15 countries. Previously Head of Audit Innovation for Grant Thornton Ireland, Paul champions a transformation philosophy that prioritises process understanding and data discipline before technology, ensuring products solve real business problems, not just deploy new tools.
His career spans global roles at Gilead Sciences, Johnson & Johnson, and Ernst & Young, where he delivered large-scale finance, audit, and analytics transformation programmes, including ERP migration, process mining implementations, digital audit strategy, and global analytics rollouts across multiple geographies.
A qualified accountant who speaks both the language of business and the language of data, Paul is committed to redefining modern finance and audit through stronger data foundations, transparent processes, and scalable digital products that practitioners will actually adopt.
